Comcast says it will sell gigabit cable service this year

Comcast claims it will be able to start selling gigabit internet service this year thanks to a new chip from Broadcom. Comcast has yet to comment on the pricing for this future service option, though it is expected that this service will be costly if Comcast’s current pricing structure is anything to make assumptions from.
